On Tuesday, February 25th, Holy Cross Christian Academy (HCCA) celebrated a major milestone with the groundbreaking of its new Upper School Campus in Burleson, Texas. This marks the beginning of Phase 1 in a visionary 9-phase master project designed to support the growth and success of HCCA students.
The new 13,240-square-foot, single-story facility will provide a dynamic learning environment for 5th–12th grade students. The campus will feature six classrooms, an art room, a science lab, a collaboration room, and a multipurpose room. Additionally, the facility includes a storm shelter, a state-of-the-art security system integrated with the existing system at the nearby school, and essential site work such as a septic system, detention pond, drive lanes, and hardscape/softscape elements.
The groundbreaking event brought together key stakeholders, including the HCCA Board of Directors, faculty, staff, and students, alongside project partners Diverse Studio and Rudick Construction Group. As part of the celebration, students had the opportunity to fill jars with dirt from the groundbreaking site to bring home with them to remember the event!

Antonio Sanchez, the Superintendent on the job, shared his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “At Rudick Construction Group, we take great pride in delivering projects that align with our clients’ missions, and this one is especially meaningful. Holy Cross Christian Academy is dedicated to shaping the future of its students, and we are honored to play a role in creating a high-quality learning environment that will inspire and empower generations to come. The Upper School Campus is thoughtfully designed to inspire students and foster academic and spiritual growth. As construction progresses, Rudick Construction Group remains committed to HCCA’s mission of providing high-quality Christian education and preparing students for a bright future.
