St. John Properties x Rudick Construction Group: Westinghouse Crossing Underway

Rudick Construction Group is thrilled to announce the commencement of Westinghouse Crossing in Georgetown, TX. The project, developed and owned by St. John Properties, features four flex research and development (R&D) buildings. At full build out, the business community will offer approximately 170,000 square feet on an impressive 24-acre site.

Since 1971, St. John Properties has designed, developed, and managed spaces that fit every type of business. Their team anticipates and serves the needs of over 2,600 clients, including small, mid-sized, and large companies across 11 states. With a book of properties that spans from Pennsylvania to Nevada, Westinghouse Crossing is the first to break Texas soil.

Brooke Harlander, Regional Partner at St. John Properties, expressed the significance of this new build, stating, “This is our first project in Texas, so it is very special to us and an important milestone in our growth story. Georgetown specifically has been a top growth city for years, so we feel fortunate to have the opportunity to plant a flag in this community.”

Upon starting this venture, Harlander emphasized the importance of selecting the right project team who shares their attention to detail and complements the company’s commitment to quality. Unique to the development market, St. John Properties intends to hold the buildings for life, which means that all buildings are designed and constructed with longevity in mind.

To uphold these standards, Powers Brown Architecture, Pape Dawson Engineers, and Dunaway Partners tailored their design approach while also meeting the demands of the competitive Texas market. Furthermore, early engagement with Rudick Construction Group helped the team align on constructability and develop the cost model simultaneously with design.
