J.J. Book Wilson Park Groundbreaking

19, Feb, 2026

The City of Princeton broke ground on J.J. Book Wilson Park on Thursday, February 19, marking a major milestone in the City’s continued investment in parks, recreation, and quality of life. Rudick Construction Group (RCG) is proud to be part of the team delivering this long-awaited community destination, working alongside HDLA and SPA Skateparks, with EPT Commercial overseeing the project.

The heart of the new park will be a purpose-built skatepark designed by SPA Skateparks, a nationally recognized leader in skatepark design and construction. The space is designed to be safe, inclusive, and engaging for skaters of all ages and skill levels, shaped directly by community input and built to support positive youth engagement across Princeton.

Beyond the skatepark, J.J. Book Wilson Park will offer open green space and thoughtfully designed recreational amenities that encourage movement, connection, and multi-generational use, creating a true gathering place for families and neighbors alike.

For Rudick Construction Group, this project reflects what the company values most: building spaces that bring people together.

“At Rudick Construction Group, we believe the most meaningful projects are the ones that bring communities together,” said Clay Rudick, CEO of Rudick Construction Group. “J.J. Book Wilson Park is more than a recreational space. It’s an investment in Princeton’s families, youth, and future. We’re proud to partner with the City of Princeton and the project team to deliver a space that will serve this community for generations.”

J.J. Book Wilson Park is part of the City of Princeton’s broader parks investment and long-range planning efforts to create high-quality public spaces for a rapidly growing community. The partnership between the City, Rudick, HDLA, EPT, and SPA Skateparks reflects a shared commitment to delivering well-designed recreational facilities that will serve Princeton residents now and for generations to come.
