Chief Practice Officer
Please accept this letter as my enthusiastic recommendation of Rudick Construction Group for your consideration. I had the great good fortune to work with Clay Rudick, Mike Roberts, Ryan Short and the rest of their dedicated team on the New Office Expansion and Renovation for Telios Building Systems Consulting. They did an outstanding job and I am pleased to count them among my friends (yes, this is an Architect speaking about a Contractor). The project was by all measures a great success.
One of the things that distinguishes Rudick Construction Group from other Contractors is that that are very much aware that they are building relationships as much as they are building buildings. They are exceptional at both.
Rudick Construction Group took on the addition and renovation of fully occupied Offices for Telios Building Systems Consulting in Dallas, Texas. It was a building full of very smart, very driven, highly experienced consulting engineers that knew every bit of the building process and were hyper-aware of the construction activities going on around them. The scrutiny on the builder was intense and the opportunity for challenges was overwhelming. Suffice it to say that there were more cooks in that kitchen than any kitchen could reasonably be expected to hold. Rudick did an outstanding job under spotlight circumstances.
As if the normal challenges of balancing the demands client expectations, budget, scope and quality were not enough, it seems that the weather gods were angry with us at a basic level. Rudick expertly navigated the difficulties inherent in the sequential building activities affected by sustained, critically timed, and simply unfortunate impacts to the project. It is easy to become discouraged by events like this beyond ones control, but Rudick never succumbed to that temptation…their leadership through these setbacks was excellent and their positive attitude helped sustain all of us through the darker times. They shine in adversity…this is the kind of builder you want on your project.
Of particular note was the great work of Ryan Short. He did an amazing job under the most difficult circumstances…and he did it with a smile on his face (albeit, I’m sure, through gritted teeth at times). Projects don’t get any tougher than the one that Ryan did for us. We are so grateful for his impressive dedication and his excellent leadership. He is a fine builder.
Additionally, we could not be more pleased with Mike Robert’s performance on our behalf. His deep experience, great sense of humor, his personal dedication and, perhaps most importantly, his endless patience were key to our success. I am completely confident that he will bring the same level of high satisfaction to your efforts that he brought to ours.
Finally, in my 35 years in the business, I have come to learn that the most important thing you can find in an outstanding construction leader is a great attitude and true integrity. Clay truly embodies these qualities. He showed deep courage, wise leadership and relentless determination in meeting our (sometimes unrealistic) project goals. He was nice even when we were not. Clay has the smoothness of a diplomat and the strength of a Marine. He is as committed as they come.
I simply don’t think anyone could have done a better job on our project than Rudick Construction Group.
I would be remiss to not also mention that Clay brought with him an excellent team of professionals and subcontractors to execute the work. We never felt like we were starved of resource or left without virtually immediate access to Clay and his team. Every person in his group were a delight to work with and shared the same sense of urgency we came to rely upon.
I could recommend no one more highly for future work…in my opinion, you could make no better choice than to engage Rudick Construction Group for your building needs.
I recommend Rudick Construction Group with enthusiasm and without reservation for your consideration, if you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to call me
