Completed in June 2022, Project Mars is a 9-acre autonomous trucking campus constructed by Rudick in Lancaster, Texas. As the first facility of its kind in the U.S., it was built to support the rapidly expanding autonomous commercial trucking industry.
Serving as a central hub for Southwest operations, the site features 10 truck bays, diesel fueling stations, six EV charging stations, and 36 workstations. The MEP systems were carefully engineered to accommodate both high-capacity transportation functions and technology-driven office needs.
The campus consists of two LEED-certified buildings constructed with burnished block and extensive paving to support large-scale logistics. The design merges modern office space with advanced industrial R&D zones, creating operational efficiency by situating executive and administrative teams close to heavy-duty vehicle activity.
The project brings over 100 jobs to the area, with autonomous trucks navigating major commercial routes including I-10, I-20, and I-45.
